This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, the types of cookies QubotAi uses, and how you can manage your cookie preferences.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve efficiency, and provide information to site owners. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your computer — they are simply small data files.

How We Use Cookies

QubotAi uses cookies for the following purposes:

1. Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. They enable core features such as user authentication, maintaining your logged-in session, and CSRF protection. You cannot opt out of these cookies while using the service.

  • qubotai_session — stores your authenticated session
  • XSRF-TOKEN — protects against cross-site request forgery attacks

2. Preference Cookies

These cookies remember your preferences and settings to improve your experience across sessions, such as remembering your language preference or UI settings.

3. Analytics Cookies

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our platform — which pages are visited most often, where users drop off, and how features are used. This data is aggregated and anonymous, helping us improve QubotAi. You can opt out of analytics cookies in your browser settings.

4. Widget Cookies (for your visitors)

When you embed the QubotAi chat widget on your own website, the widget uses localStorage (not traditional cookies) to remember visitor sessions. Specifically:

  • qubot_session_{apiKey} — stores the visitor's session token so conversations are continuous across page loads
  • qubot_limit_at_{apiKey} — stores the timestamp when a visitor hit the exchange limit, so the reset timer works correctly

These are stored only in the visitor's browser local storage and are never sent to QubotAi servers directly.

Third-Party Cookies

Some pages on QubotAi may include content from third-party services (such as embedded videos or payment gateways). These third parties may set their own cookies. We do not control these cookies, and they are subject to the respective third party's privacy and cookie policies.

Managing Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. You can set your browser to:

  • Block all cookies
  • Delete existing cookies
  • Allow cookies only from specific sites
  • Warn you before a cookie is placed

Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to QubotAi. For information on how to manage cookies in your browser, visit your browser's help section.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Please check back periodically. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect when changes were last made.
